Solent Transfers is a private hire service operating around Southampton and the Solent. We take on journeys of every size: a four-mile run to Southampton Airport or Airport Parkway station, a transfer to Heathrow or Gatwick, a cruise terminal pickup, a wedding, a hospital appointment, or a long one-off drive across the country.
No journey too short
Airport and cruise transfers are what we are asked for most, and they are the ones that need the most planning — so they get written about the most on this site. That is not a limit on what we do. If your journey is a ten-minute run across the city, it is just as welcome as a trip to Gatwick.
Why local matters here
“Local” is a word every transfer company uses, so it is worth being specific about what it actually buys you on these journeys.
It means knowing that Southampton has five cruise terminals rather than one, and that Ocean and Horizon are not a short walk apart. It means knowing how the roads out of the city behave at five in the morning as opposed to half past eight, and what a turnaround day does to the traffic around the docks. It means understanding that a disembarkation time is an estimate, not an appointment.

How we work
We take booking requests through the form on this site, or directly on WhatsApp if you would rather just message. Either way, a person reads it and comes back to you to confirm the journey and the price — nothing is automatically confirmed and nothing is charged online.
We would rather be honest about a journey we are not comfortable with than agree to it and let you down. If you have a flight that leaves too soon after your ship docks, we will tell you so.
If something changes — a flight time, a pickup address, the number of people travelling — message us as early as you can and we will sort it out.
