Southampton Cruise Terminal Transfers

Transfers to and from all five Southampton cruise terminals, including airport connections on embarkation and disembarkation day.

Southampton is the busiest cruise port in the country, and the five terminals — Ocean, Mayflower, QEII, City and Horizon — are spread right across the docks. They are not interchangeable, and on a busy turnaround day the traffic around the port bears very little resemblance to a normal Tuesday. Telling us the name of your ship is usually enough for us to work out where you need to be.

Embarkation day is the more forgiving of the two. You are normally given a check-in window, and the job is simply to get you and your luggage to the right terminal comfortably inside it. Whether you are coming from home in Southampton, from a hotel, or straight from Heathrow or Gatwick after a flight, it is one journey to the quayside.

Disembarkation morning takes more care. You are called by group, you collect your luggage, and only then do you actually come out of the building — and it rarely runs exactly to the minute. If you have a flight to catch the same day, we plan backwards from the flight and forwards from your disembarkation group, and we will tell you honestly if the two do not leave enough room rather than agreeing to something we are not comfortable with.

Cruise passengers also tend to travel with more luggage than average, which is worth being accurate about in the quote form. Counting your cases properly is the single most useful thing you can do to make sure the right vehicle arrives.

Popular routes

From the cruise terminals to the airports

Disembarkation-morning journeys from any of the five Southampton terminals. Tell us the ship and we will know which one it berths at.

Guide prices for a standard car, one way. The final price depends on the number of passengers, the amount of luggage, your exact addresses and the time of day. We confirm the price when we come back to you, and nothing is charged through this website.

The journeys with a sightseeing stop include the driving and the waiting time shown on the card. Admission to Stonehenge is not included — English Heritage use timed tickets, so book your slot first and tell us the time.

Common questions

Which Southampton cruise terminals do you cover?

All five — Ocean, Mayflower, QEII, City and Horizon. Tell us the name of your ship when you book and we will work out which terminal you need.

I have a flight the same day I disembark. Is that possible?

Often, yes, but it depends on your disembarkation group and your flight time. Send us both in the quote form and we will give you an honest view — if the two do not leave enough room, we would rather say so than agree to it.

What if disembarkation runs late?

Delays on disembarkation morning are normal and we plan around them rather than being surprised by them. Give us your ship name and your onward travel details and we will talk the timings through with you.

Can you collect us from a hotel before the cruise?

Yes. Hotel to terminal on embarkation day, and terminal to hotel afterwards, are both regular journeys for us. Enter the hotel address in the quote form.

How much luggage can you take?

Put the number of large and small bags into the quote form and we will make sure a suitable vehicle is sent. Cruise passengers usually travel with more than average, so it is worth counting carefully.

Do you meet ships arriving from Heathrow or Gatwick?

Yes — airport to cruise terminal is one of our most common journeys, in both directions. Give us your flight number and your ship and we will plan it.
