Airport Transfers from Southampton

Door-to-door private transfers from Southampton to Heathrow and Gatwick, planned around your flight rather than a timetable.

Neither Heathrow nor Gatwick has a direct rail link from Southampton. Getting to either by public transport means changes — a train and then a coach, or a train into London and back out again — and every change is another point at which you are moving cases, watching a clock and hoping a connection holds. With a family, an early flight or more than one suitcase each, it stops being a sensible way to start a holiday.

A private transfer replaces all of that with one vehicle. We collect you from your address in Southampton, take the route that makes sense for the time you are travelling, and drop you at the terminal entrance. If your flight number is in the quote form, we will confirm your terminal beforehand, which matters at Heathrow with five of them and at Gatwick where North and South are a shuttle ride apart.

Coming the other way, we plan around when you are realistically likely to walk out of arrivals rather than the scheduled landing time — immigration and the baggage belt make more difference than the flight does. Send us your flight number and we will keep track of it.

Southampton Airport itself is a different job again — four miles up the road at Eastleigh, quick to reach, but with a lot of very early departures and late arrivals when there is no useful bus and the trains have stopped. Short journeys are as welcome as long ones.

We are a local Southampton operator, so the Southampton end of the journey is the part we know best: which roads work at 05:00, where in the city is awkward to reach, and how long it genuinely takes to get out to the M3 or the M27 at a given hour.

Popular routes

From Southampton to the airports

Outbound journeys, planned backwards from your flight time rather than from the distance. Each one has its own page with the drive broken down and a map.

Guide prices for a standard car, one way. The final price depends on the number of passengers, the amount of luggage, your exact addresses and the time of day. We confirm the price when we come back to you, and nothing is charged through this website.

Common questions

Do you cover both Heathrow and Gatwick?

Yes — both are the journeys we are asked for most. Heathrow is roughly 65 miles from Southampton and Gatwick around 80, so we normally suggest setting off a little earlier for a Gatwick flight at the same time.

How do you decide what time to collect me?

We work back from your flight, allowing for the road at that time of day and for bag drop and security at the airport. Give us your flight number and departure time in the quote form and we will suggest a pickup time when we confirm.

What happens if my inbound flight is delayed?

Give us your flight number when you book so we can follow the arrival and adjust. We will confirm exactly how this works for your journey when we come back to you.

Can you collect from an address outside Southampton?

Yes. Enter your full pickup address in the quote form wherever it is — we cover the surrounding towns as well as the city.

Do you do early morning airport runs?

Early departures are one of the most common reasons people book us rather than take a chance on public transport. Put the time you need in the quote form and we will confirm whether we can cover it.
