The middle stretch, and normally the quickest part of it. If the M3 is going to be slow it is usually here in the weekday morning peak — which is why the same flight gets an earlier pickup on a Tuesday than on a Sunday.

Planning your pickup time
The M3 and the approach to the M25 are the two places a Heathrow journey slows down, and both are far busier on a weekday morning than at the weekend. When you tell us your flight time we will suggest a pickup that leaves room for the airport itself as well as the road — bag drop queues and security at Heathrow can take longer than the drive from Southampton on a bad day. If you would rather leave earlier and have a coffee airside, say so and we will work back from that instead.
Rather than the train and coach
There is no direct rail line from Southampton to Heathrow. Going by public transport usually means a train to Woking or London and then the RailAir coach or the Underground, which is two or three changes with your luggage each time. A private transfer is one vehicle from your door to your terminal, which is why most of our Heathrow customers are families with cases and business travellers with an early start.
